Openwave Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:OPWV), a global software innovator delivering context-aware mediation and messaging solutions, today announced the appointment of Anne Brennan as chief financial officer. Brennan replaces Karen Willem, who resigned from Openwave effective March 31, 2010.

With more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, Brennan most recently served as Openwave's vice president of finance, and also served as Openwave’s interim CFO in early 2008. Effective April 1, Brennan will become Openwave’s CFO and report to Openwave CEO Ken Denman.

With those items accomplished, it seems fitting I transition to another challenge.”

Brennan has been with Openwave for the past nine years, initially located in the company’s EMEA office before joining the corporate finance team at the company's headquarters in 2005. Before joining Openwave, Anne had a long career with Racal Group where she held various financial positions.
