OpenText Completes Actuate Acquisition

(RTTNews) - OpenText Corp. (OTEX, OTC.TO) said Friday that, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Asteroid Acquisition Corp., it has completed its acquisition of Actuate Corp. (BIRT).

Actuate brings powerful analytics to the OpenText portfolio of products that enable customers to analyze and visualize a broad range of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

Actuate shares ceased trading on the NASDAQ Global Market on Friday.

Last month, OpenText agreed to buy Actuate for $6.60 per share in cash, or a total equity value of about $330 million, less Actuate's cash, or an enterprise value of about $272 million.
