Onyx Pharma Q2 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ONXX) Thursday reported second-quarter net loss of $53.2 million or $0.73 per share, compared to loss of $106.0 million or $1.65 per share last year.

Adjusted loss for the quarter were $0.40 per share compared to $0.68 per share last year. On average, 16 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.42 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues rose 110 percent to $153.0 million from $72.7 million last year. Analysts estimates revenues of $151.73 million for the quarter.
