Omnicare Q1 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Omnicare Inc. (OCR) reported that its first-quarter income from continuing operations increased to $63.64 million or $0.59 per share, from $48.31 million or $0.45 per share, previous year. Adjusted cash earnings per share was $0.91, for the quarter.

On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.90 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales increased to $1.57 billion from $1.46 billion. Analysts expected revenue of $1.55 billion for the quarter.

For the full year 2014, Omnicare reaffirmed its previous expectations. The company continues to expects revenue in the range of $6.3 billion to $6.4 billion, and adjusted cash earnings per share in the range of $3.64 to $3.72. Analysts expect the company to report 2014 profit per share of $3.69 on revenue of $6.36 billion.
