OMAC Adds Advanced PackML Programming Sessions to 2019 Training Workshop -- Thursday, May 16, Chicago Marriott O'Hare

RESTON, Va., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For its annual PackML Training Workshop, the Organization for Machine Automation and Control (OMAC), is now offering advanced programming sessions in addition to its standard basic coding and training. OMAC's PackML Workshop 2019 takes place Thursday, May 16, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare. The PackML Workshop is co-located and follows the Automation World Conference & Expo, May 14-15 in the same venue.

PackML experts from B&R Automation, Bosch Rexroth, Rockwell and Siemens will lead the training sessions. Basic and advanced sessions will include multiple workstations for participants to learn and practice coding and implementing PackML. The goal is to provide attendees with practical experience by simulating a programming and installation environment.

The new advanced PackML training sessions are in response to numerous requests from past participants to receive follow-up advanced and in-depth programming practice. This year's workshop is an ideal continuing education opportunity for past participants of OMAC's PackML basic training sessions. Participants also will also receive an introduction to the PackML and OPC UA Companion Specification.

OMAC celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019. It will recognize this milestone and hold its General Meeting for all members and interested workshop participants on May 16, during the last hour of the Workshop. On Friday May 17, OMAC will host a golf tournament and networking event.

OMAC members save $100 on registration for the PackML Workshop with a code. The cost for Basic PackML Training is $250 for OMAC members and $350 for non-members. The cost for Advanced PackML training is $300 for OMAC members and $400 for non-members.
