Old Dominion Freight Line Q3 Earnings Advance 20%

(RTTNews) - Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) released a profit for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $102.31 million, or $1.24 per share. This was higher than $85.58 million, or $1.03 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.16 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 11.5% to $872.99 million. This was up from $782.61 million last year.
