OGE Energy Corp. Reveals 3% Drop In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - OGE Energy Corp. (OGE) reported a profit for third quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $181.0 million, or $0.90 per share. This was down from $187.3 million, or $0.94 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.92 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.6% to $719.8 million. This was down from $754.7 million last year.
