Office Depot Appoints Roland Smith CEO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Office Depot, Inc. (ODP) Tuesday said it has appointed Roland Smith as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Smith most recently served as CEO and President of Delhaize America, LLC, which is the U.S. division of Delhaize Group. He previously served as the President and CEO of The Wendy's Co., President and CEO of Wendy's/Arby's Group, Inc., and CEO of Wendy's International, Inc.

Following Smith's appointment, former co-CEOs, Neil Austrian and Ravi Saligram, have resigned from the company and Board., Inc. (ODP) Tuesday said it has appointed Roland Smith as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Smith most recently served as CEO and President of Delhaize America, LLC, which is the U.S. division of Delhaize Group. He previously served as the President and CEO of The Wendy's Co., President and CEO of Wendy's/Arby's Group, Inc., and CEO of Wendy's International, Inc.

Smith has also held senior management positions at KFC International, Pepsi Cola International, Schering-Plough and Procter & Gamble.

Following Smith's appointment, former co-CEOs, Neil Austrian and Ravi Saligram, have resigned from the company and Board.
