NTT DOCOMO H1 Profit Rises; Cuts FY19 Net Profit View, Lifts Revenue Forecast

(RTTNews) - Japan's NTT DOCOMO, Inc. (DCM) reported Wednesday that its first-half profit attributable to shareholders increased 3.8 percent to 407.06 billion yen from 392.08 billion yen in the prior year. Basic earnings per share were 113.29 yen, compared to 105.84 yen a year ago.

Operating profit grew 9 percent from last year to 610.52 billion yen.

Total operating revenues improved 4.1% to 2.39 trillion yen from 2.29 trillion yen in the prior year.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019, the company now projects attributable profit of 670 billion yen or 189.87 yen per share, operating profit of 990 billion yen, and operating revenues of 4.86 trillion yen.

The company previously expected attributable profit of 695 billion yen or 193.42 yen per share, operating profit of 990 billion yen, and operating revenues of 4.79 trillion yen.
