Nottingham Law School Joins with Kaplan, Inc. to Open London Location

- The New Program Will Offer The Legal Practice Course, Along With Practical Advice

Nottingham Trent University and Kaplan, Inc., a global educational services firm, announced today that they have reached an agreement to open a London facility for Nottingham Law School's Legal Practice Course (LPC) programme.

The year-long Legal Practice Course will provide legal training for university graduates recently hired or seeking employment as solicitors. The "Nottingham at Kaplan Law School," which will combine Nottingham's strong curriculum with Kaplan's expertise in educational training and operations, will be located in central London. Courses will begin in September 2007.

This venture will offer premium courses taught by both Kaplan and Nottingham Law School staff members that will prepare students for a successful career in the legal industry."

This program will include a "bridge to practice" element designed to ease the transition from the LPC into a firm by providing practical advice and experience, including several workshops on topics such as working with partners, negotiation, legal ethics and internal law firm politics.
