Norwegian Cruises: No More Carry-On Beverages
(RTTNews) - Norwegian Cruise Line will no longer allow its passengers to bring bottled water or soda on to their cruise ship, effective as of July 15.
According to the company's statement, "Guests are prohibited from bringing any beverages -- including liquor, beer and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, soda and juices -- on board either as carry-on or checked luggage."
The company says the new policy will speed up the embarkation and security process.
Meanwhile, in exception cases, the company will allow passengers to bring in purified or distilled water in factory-sealed containers for use in conjunction with medical devices or for the reconstitution of infant formula. Fully sealed or corked wine bottles for personal consumption onboard that is subject to screening and a corkage fee will also be allowed.
