Norwegian Cruise Expects Q4, Annual Profit Outlook Better Than View; Pre-Market Stock Up
(RTTNews) - Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) on Thursday announced that it expects its fourth-quarter earnings above Wall Street view, and revised up annual profit guidance, above estimates. Harry Sommer, CEO of Norwegian Cruise, said: "Fueled by robust demand and our relentless focus on cost control and margin enhancement, we're raising our full-year guidance for a fourth time."
For the fourth quarter, NCLH expects adjusted net income of around $40 million or $0.09 per share.
On average, 16-analysts polled by Thomson Reuters forecast the cruise line to earn $0.08 per share, for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
For the full year, the company now expects adjusted income per share of $1.65, compared with the prior outlook of $1.53 per share. Analysts project the company to earn $1.58 per share, for the year.
Excluding items, earnings are now projected to be around $855 million, higher than the prior expectation of $790 million, for the year.
Annual adjusted EBITDA guidance also increased to around $2.425 billion from $2.350 billion.
NCLH was trading up by 6.12 percent at $25.30 in the pre-market trade on the New York Stock Exchange.
