Northstar Lottery Group Partners with Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County to Provide Home for Springfield Family

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Sept. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Keeping in line with its mission to support good causes throughout Illinois, Northstar Lottery Group, the private manager of the Illinois Lottery, has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County to provide a home for Adrian Haley and Wendie Fischer of Springfield. Today, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., 20 Northstar employees will paint and install dry wall throughout the house preparing it for move-in. Haley, Fischer and their five children will receive keys to their brand new home on November 9.

Northstar Lottery Group has been committed to community service since July 2011, when it officially became the private manager of the Illinois Lottery. These labs are fully equipped with computer hardware, software, online technology and furniture. Each lab is fully operational during after school hours, providing a safe and enriching environment for children and teens in these communities.

Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County
Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County is a community-driven nonprofit organization that develops working partnerships with local businesses, churches, community organizations and other individuals to build simple, decent and affordable housing for all people in need. Since its founding in 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County has completed 92 houses in Sangamon County, served over 350 individuals in Sangamon County and served 74 international families.
