Nord Anglia Education Q1 Profit Surges, Trims 2015 Outlook - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Nord Anglia Education, Inc. (NORD) Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $15.0 million or $0.15 per share, significantly higher than $3.5 million or $0.05 per share in the prior-year quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the quarter was $21.0 million or $0.22 per share, compared to $10.7 million or $0.14 per share in the year-ago quarter.
On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.22 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the quarter grew 14.1 percent to $154.2 million from $135.1 million in the same quarter last year. Six Wall Street analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $155.26 million for the quarter. Revenues increased 17.1 percent on a constant currency basis.
Looking ahead to fiscal 2015, the company now expects adjusted earnings in a range of $0.62 to $0.64 per share, on projected revenues between $537 million and $547 million, down from the prior forecast for adjusted earnings in the range of $0.63 to $0.65 per share, and revenues between $545 million and $555 million.
Street is currently looking for full-year 2015 earnings of $0.63 per share on revenues of $547.25 million.
