Nokia to Showcase Latest Enterprise, Entertainment Solutions at CTIA Industry Event

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nokia , the global leader in mobility, today reaffirmed its commitment to rapid expansion of the global smartphone market, showcasing the latest in mobile content, services and end-to-end solutions for enterprise and entertainment at the annual CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005, September 27-29.

Mary McDowell, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Nokia's Enterprise Solutions division will kick off the morning with a keynote address. In addition, during this three-day event, more than 40 independent software developers and branded content providers will join with Nokia demonstrating the most-advanced smartphone applications in the enterprise, gaming, media and personal productivity categories. Members of Forum Nokia PRO, Nokia's advanced developer program, will provide compelling demonstrations of leading edge applications that are helping to drive smartphone adoption among consumer and enterprise end-users worldwide.

Nokia will also be showcasing its new Nokia Business Center solution announced earlier this month. This new software solution will enable a range of collaborative business applications for the mobile world, starting with push email. Nokia Business Center brings mobile email to the corporate masses, changing the economics of mobile email adoption so that employees at all levels can reap the rewards of virtually anytime, anywhere access to their corporate email. Nokia Business Center complements Nokia's existing portfolio of today's popular email solutions available for its business-optimized mobile devices.

Nokia's broad-based participation at CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005 also includes presentations by leading executives, panel participation during conference education tracks, special seminars for enterprise users and games enthusiasts, a high-level developer showcase and sponsorship of a gala Mobile Entertainment Reception on Wednesday evening, Sept. 28.

Mary McDowell, EVP and GM for Nokia's Enterprise Solutions business group, will deliver a general session keynote address on Tuesday morning, Sept. 27, at 10:20 a.m. McDowell will be joined on stage by a Nokia customer Peter Johnston, Regional VP, IT, Asia Pacific, WPP. Together they will speak on "Mobility: Changing the Way Business Works."

* Monday, Sept. 26, 4:15 pm: Mark Selby, Global Vice President, Multimedia Sales, participating during Billboard's MECCA Conference on a panel all about mobile video services and applications called "It's Cinematic," in Room 3014, Moscone West building; * Monday, Sept. 26, 10:00 am: Mano Gialusis, Senior Manager, Enterprise Solutions, demonstrating the latest Nokia devices for enterprise users during the special "Smartphone Device Showcase," at the Smartphone Summit, in The Great Room of San Francisco's W Hotel, adjacent to the Moscone Center. * Monday, Sept. 26, 5:00 pm: Rob Sears, Director, Network Game Platform, will participate in a panel discussion on "Creating Mobile Community," at iHollywood Forum's Mobile Entertainment Summit, in Ex Level Room 2, Nob Hill Masonic Center. * Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1:00 pm: Gerard Wiener, Director, Games Business Unit, will be speaking as part of a panel on "Games: Taking Wireless Gaming to the Next Level: Platforms, Devices & Graphics -- What's Coming Next?", in Room 2004, Moscone West building; and, * Wednesday, Sept. 28, 3:00 pm: Kara Hayes, Senior Manager, Security & Mobile Connectivity, Enterprise Solutions, participating in a panel on the critical issue of "Mobile Security -- Meeting IT's Toughest Test," in Room 2010, Moscone West building.

During the day Wednesday, Nokia will host two special seminars for attendees:

* The Nokia Games Seminar, Wed., Sept. 28, from 10:30 am-11:30 am, Room 2024, Moscone West, will immerse companies interested in entering the mobile games market in Nokia's games strategy, including end-to- end modular solutions for Java mobile connected gaming and next- generation mobile gaming over Nokia Series 60 smartphones; * The Nokia Enterprise Seminar, Wed., Sept. 28, from 1:00-5:00 p.m., Room 2024, Moscone West, a half-day event jointly produced by Nokia's global developer support program, Forum Nokia, and Nokia Enterprise Solutions to provide high-level discussion with attendees of Nokia's enterprise strategies, including a complete solutions roadmap presented by Scott Cooper, Vice President, Mobility Solutions, Enterprise Solutions, as well as enterprise customer and partner presentations on the latest developments in enterprise e-mail, mobile security, and FFA/SFA solutions based on the powerful Nokia 9300 smartphone.
