Nissan U.S. Sales In March Slid 2.7%

(RTTNews) - Nissan Group (NSANF.PK, NSANY.PK) on Wednesday said its U.S. sales in March 2015 slid 2.7 percent to 145,085 units from 149,136 units last year.

Sales at the company's Nissan Division in March fell 3 percent year-over-year to 132,560 units, while sales at its Infiniti division was marginally up 0.2 percent to 12,525 units.

The company's car sales in March dropped 12.1 percent from last year to 83,412 units, due to weak demand for brands such as Versa, Altima, Maxima, LEAF, and Juke.

Meanwhile the company's truck sales in March gained 13.6 percent to 61,673 units, driven by brands including Rogue, Pathfinder, and NV200.

Nissan said March 2015 had 25 working days compared with 26 days last year.
