Nissan In Final Development Stage Of E-NV200 Electric Compact Van - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (NSANY.PK) said it is in the final development phase of its second mass-production zero emission vehicle, the e-NV200 compact van. The vehicle is slated for launch in 2014.

The company noted that so far, the e-NV200 has received positive comments for its quiet, comfortable driving with no emissions and low noise, CO2 reduction, and generous carrying capacity. As Nissan's second global electric vehicle, it follows Nissan LEAF, the world's first affordable 100 percent EV for the mass market.

Nissan added that it is already investigating further innovative ways of harnessing its EV technology in the commercial vehicle market with the e-NT400, a light truck based on the European NT400Cabstar, known as NT400 Atlas in Japan.
