Nintendo's Switch Lite Revealed
(RTTNews) - Nintendo has unveiled a new handheld gaming device, Nintendo Switch Lite.
Switch Lite will roll out in September and will be priced at $199.99. A special Pokémon-themed Zacian and Zamazenta Edition will be released November 8. Nintendo had released the original Switch in March 2017.
The Switch Lite is a handheld gaming device and does not support the "Switch" feature of the original device. The original device's detachable controllers and TV dock allowed it to switch between a TV console, portable gamepad, and a mobile multiplayer machine.
The new Nintendo Switch Lite will be available in three colors, yellow, gray, and turquoise. Switch Lite sports a touchscreen of 5.5 inches, smaller than original Switch's 6.2 inches.
The console will support all the Switch games that can be played in handheld mode, including Zelda, Mario, Pokémon, Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. The Switch Lite is compatible with all Switch controllers, like the Joy-Cons, the Pro Controller, and the Poké Ball Plus. It has a 32 GB of storage, with an expansion slot for a microSD card.
