Niku Bolsters Asia Operations with Appointment of David Hudson as VP of Asia and Japan and Opening of Singapore Office Executive Uniquely Well-Positioned to Lead Company's Growth in Asian Market
Niku Corporation (Nasdaq: NIKU), the leading vendor of IT Management and Governance (IT-MG) solutions, today announced the strengthening of its commitment to the rapidly growing Asian markets through its appointment of David Hudson as vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan. In this position, Hudson has overseen the establishment and registration of Niku's new Singapore office. Also reporting to Hudson are Niku's sales efforts in Australia and New Zealand, where the company has been highly successful in selling its Clarity(TM) system to customers in the financial services industry, telecommunications, and the public sector.
"We are very pleased to have someone of David's caliber spearhead Niku's Asian operations," said Michael Sayer, executive vice president of worldwide sales at Niku. "There is tremendous business potential in this region of the world, and David has demonstrated stellar performance in successfully working with these markets. We look forward to robust growth and expansion throughout Asia Pacific and Japan under his leadership."
Hudson has extensive experience in selling high-value enterprise applications to companies throughout Asia. He has established a winning track record for building the businesses of U.S. software companies -- serving as vice president Asia Pacific for Interactive Intelligence Inc. and vice president Asia Pacific for Remedy. A resident of Singapore for the last seven years, Hudson has concentrated on developing business contacts as well as direct and indirect marketing channels that span a range of cultures.
"I am delighted to drive Niku's further growth and expansion into the Asian market," said Hudson. "Within enterprise applications, IT Management and Governance is the most critical and fastest growing area. Enterprises in Asia are faced with exactly the same governance issues as companies elsewhere, and Niku's solution offerings -- highly awarded by top analyst firms -- address these issues by aligning IT with business and delivering tangible ROI and real value. That places us in the unique position to thrive as we penetrate the Asian Pacific and Japanese regions with leading IT-MG solutions."
