NewMarket Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Petroleum additives company NewMarket Corp (NEU) Tuesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $66.8 million or $5.24 per share, compared with $64 million or $4.81 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $5.35 per share, compared with $4.61 per share a year ago.

Revenue for the quarter was $620.4 million, compared with $583.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected earnings of $5.02 per share on revenue of $613.17 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
