New Jersey Resources Q4 Net Loss Widens; Backs FY14 Earnings View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - New Jersey Resources (NJR) posted a significantly wider fourth-quarter net loss of $20.02 million, compared with last year's loss of $8.69 million. On the other hand, quarterly net financial loss shrunk to $0.21 million, from a $11.15 million loss a year ago.

For the quarter, loss per share widened to $0.48, from a loss of $0.21 in the prior-year quarter, while basic net financial loss per share stood at $0.01. On average, 6 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected loss per share of $0.02 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Compared with last year, total operating revenues for the fourth quarter grew to $733.7 million, from $568.47 million.

In addition, NJR is reaffirming its fiscal 2014 net financial earnings or NFE guidance in a range of $2.75 to $2.95 per basic share.
