Netflix Soon Available With Comcast Cable Box

(RTTNews) - Comcast Corp. (CMCSA) has teamed up with Netflix Inc. (NFLX) to bring the popular video streaming service to the cable giant's latest set-top boxes.

The video streaming service will be incorporated into the X-1 box, which Comcast touts as the "next-gen" platform.

Comcast and Netflix have reached an agreement to incorporate Netflix into X1, providing seamless access to the great content offered by both companies. We have much work to do before the service will be available to consumers later this year. We'll provide more details at that time," both the companies said in a statement.

According to reports, about 35% of Comcast customers have the X1 box, with expectation to reach 50% by year's end.
