NeoPhotonics Q4 Loss Widens

(RTTNews) - NeoPhotonics Corp. (NPTN) Monday said fourth-quarter loss widened to $4.45 million or $0.14 per share from $2.99 million or $0.10 per share in the same period last year.

On average, seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.09 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues totaled $74.38 million, up from $62.02 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $74.60 million.

Looking ahead to the first quarter, the company has forecast revenues in the range of $73 million to $78 million. Analysts currently expect first-quarter revenues of $68.09 million.

For the fiscal 2014, the company currently projects a loss in the range of $0.38 to $0.42 per share, with adjusted earnings in the range of $0.28 to $0.32 per share.

Revenues are currently projected in the range of $67.5 million to $68.5 million, up from its previous guidance range of $67 million to $69 million. Analysts currently expect the company to report full-year earnings of $0.29 per share on revenues of $309.37 million.
