NCR Q4 Results Top Estimates; Outlook Weak

(RTTNews) - NCR Corp. (NCR) reported net income for the fourth quarter of $33 million or $0.19 per share, compared to $198 million or $1.16 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Income from cintinuing operations for the fourth quarter was $38 million or $0.22 per share, compared to $206 million or $1.21 per share in the prior year quarter.

Excluding items, earnings per share from continuing operations were $0.88, compared to $0.83 last year.

Revenue for the fourth quarter rose 6% to $1.77 billion from $1.67 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.78 per share on revenue of $1.76 billion for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward, the company expects 2015 revenue to be roughly flat on an as-reported basis, and up 4% to 6% on a constant currency basis. The company also forecast 2015 adjusted earnings of $2.60 to $2.80 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.95 per share on revenue growth of 3.80% for the full year 2015.
