National Grid Annual Pre-tax Profit Slides, Revenue Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Electricity and gas utility National Grid Plc. (NG.L, NGG) Thursday said full-year profit before tax fell to 2.628 billion pounds from last year's 2.748 billion pounds.

Adjusted pre-tax profit was 2.876 billion pounds, while it totaled 2.584 billion pounds in the previous year.

Earnings per share dropped to 53.4 pence from 65.4 pence.

Revenue grew to 15.201 billion pounds from 14.809 billion pounds generated last year.

The Board has recommended an increase in the final dividend to 28.16 pence per ordinary share.

Looking ahead, Steve Holliday, CEO, said, "We are on track with our programme of rate filings, operational efficiencies and enhancements to customer service. At the same time, we continue to invest in our UK and US businesses, driving organic growth, which together with strong returns, support our commitment to a sustainable, growing dividend."
