Molina To Acquire Florida Medicaid Assets From First Coast Advantage

(RTTNews) - Molina Healthcare, Inc. (MOH) said Friday that its subsidiary Molina Healthcare of Florida, Inc. has agreed to acquire certain assets related to First Coast Advantage, LLC's Medicaid business.

As a part of the deal, Molina Healthcare of Florida will assume First Coast Advantage's Medicaid contract and certain provider agreements for Region 4 of the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Managed Medical Assistance Program in the State of Florida.

First Coast Advantage provides health care coverage to about 65,500 individuals. In 2013, First Coast Advantage was awarded a contract to participate in the MMA program for Region 4, which includes Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. Johns and Volusia counties.
