Microsemi Corp. Reveals 42% Gain In Q2 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Microsemi Corp. (MSCC) revealed a profit for its second quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $106.2 million, or $0.91 per share. This was up from $74.7 million, or $0.67 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.91 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.3% to $442.9 million. This was down from $444.3 million last year.
