Microsemi CEO James Peterson Takes Up Addl. Role Of Board Chairman - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Microsemi Corp. (MSCC), a provider of semiconductor solutions differentiated by power, security, reliability and performance, has appointed James Peterson as board chairman further to his role as chief executive. In additon, Dennis Leibel, who has served the company as its chairman of the board since July 2004, would assume the role of lead independent director.
Further, the company announced the promotion of Paul Pickle to president and chief operating officer or COO to facilitate its continuing growth plan. Ralph Brandi, who has served as COO since 2002, would continue with the firm as executive vice president with a focus on optimizing its manufacturing resources.
Since joining Microsemi in 1998, Pickle has served in roles of increasing responsibility, including corporate vice president of Field Applications Engineering, sales and marketing, and product development. Pickle, in his new role as president and COO, would oversee all company operations, marketing and sales, as well as its research and development efforts. He would be reporting to Peterson.
The executive and board positions are all effective immediately.
