Meru Networks Signs North American Distribution Deal With Douglas Stewart

(RTTNews) - Meru Networks Inc. (MERU), a developer of mobile access and virtualized Wi-Fi solutions, Tuesday announced that it has signed a North American distribution agreement with The Douglas Stewart Co., a distributor specializing in education software, technology and supplies.

The agreement will enable Meru to benefit from DSC's reseller network's strong relationships with higher education institutions, large school districts, state departments of education and education consortia.

The company noted that Douglas Stewart will leverage Meru Education-grade Wi-Fi solutions to anchor its 'Mobile Learning Ecosystem' initiative.

Gary Abad, vice president of worldwide channel sales for Meru, said, "This relationship builds on our commitment to develop the most effective and efficient channel program in the Wi-Fi market and we are excited by the engagement of Douglas Stewart's reseller network with the promotion of our MEG solutions."

Meru noted that the MEG solution is designed to solve colleges' and universities' BYOD issues and support their uninterrupted learning applications.
