Merit Medical Systems Gets Approval For Tracheobronchial Stent Systems In China

(RTTNews) - Merit Medical Systems Inc. (MMSI), a manufacturer and marketer of proprietary disposable medical devices used in interventional and diagnostic procedures, particularly in cardiology, radiology and endoscopy, announced Wednesday that it has received approval from the Chinese Food and Drug Administration or CFDA to market the company's Aero Tracheobronchial Stent System.

The approval is for a period of five years and includes the "over-the-wire" or OTW system as well as the "direct visualization" (DV) system. The approval covers 33 catalog items.

The product licenses are owned and maintained by Merit and will be distributed by a select group of dealers with support from Merit's marketing and clinical group.
