Mercer Intl. Completes $650 Mln Private Senior Notes Offering

(RTTNews) - Mercer International Inc. (MERC, MRI_U.TO) said Wednesday that it has completed its private offering of $250 million in aggregate principal amount of 7.000% senior notes due 2019 and $400 million in aggregate principal amount of 7.750% senior notes due 2022.

The Notes of each series were issued at a price of 100% of their principal amount.

The net proceeds from the offering, together with cash on hand and borrowings under the company's revolving credit facilities, will be used to refinance certain of the company's existing indebtedness, including the company's currently outstanding 9.500% Senior Notes due 2017 and two loan facilities related to its Stendal mill.
