Mellon Adds Thomas Eggers, Mitchell Harris and Scott Wennerholm to Senior Management Committee
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mellon Financial Corporation today announced the following appointments to its Senior Management Committee: Thomas Eggers, president of The Dreyfus Corporation; Mitchell Harris, chairman and chief executive officer of Standish Mellon Asset Management; and Scott Wennerholm, chief operating officer of Mellon Asset Management. These appointments are effective immediately.

McGuinn, Mellon chairman and chief executive officer.
As president of Dreyfus, Eggers oversees all sales, both direct and through intermediaries, and directs strategic product management and development, as well as marketing. Eggers originally joined Dreyfus in April 1996 as head of Dreyfus Investments and later was appointed vice chairman of The Dreyfus Corporation in January 1999 and promoted to president in October 2001. Eggers rejoined Dreyfus in his current capacity in April 2005 from Scudder Investments, where he served as president and chief executive officer since May 2002.
Harris previously served as chief executive officer of Pareto Partners, a former joint venture that Mellon acquired 100 percent control of in July 2004. Pareto's global fixed-income operations became part of Standish Mellon. He joined London-based Pareto in 1993 and prior to that managed Citibank's private bank business in Frankfurt. His career began as a strategic planner for the City of New York.
Wennerholm joined Mellon in September 2005, and as chief operating officer of the organization that comprises institutional asset subsidiaries worldwide, he has oversight responsibility for the group's strategy and business planning, technology, compliance and risk management functions, as well as the Mellon Institutional Funds. He has more than 20 years of experience in the asset management and financial services industries, most recently as chief operating officer for CDC Ixis Asset Management Advisors Group.
