Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. Names New SVP Publisher for Blueprint and Weddings

NEW YORK, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. today announced an important new hire in the Company's Publishing division. Amy Wilkins has been named Senior Vice President, Publisher of Blueprint and Martha Stewart Weddings.

In this position, Ms. Wilkins will oversee both magazines, set the advertising sales strategy for them and manage the advertising sales team that will jointly sell Blueprint and Weddings. In addition, she will work with the Internet team to create integrated print-and-online sales opportunities. She will report to Publishing President Lauren Stanich.

"I'm happy to have Amy on our team. She is an innovative and energetic sales and marketing executive with over 20 years of magazine publishing experience. Her strategic planning and team-building skills along with her marketing expertise will be tremendous assets as we continue to build on the success of Weddings and the extraordinary promise of Blueprint," said Ms. Stanich.

Ms. Wilkins takes the reins for Blueprint from Sally Preston, SVP, Publisher of Martha Stewart Living, the company's flagship magazine. She will be building on the initial success of Blueprint, a magazine for women ages 25- 39 seeking to define and refine their personal style, and seeking to gain more market share in the bridal category for Weddings.

Ms. Preston continues as Publisher of Living, where she grew ad pages by more than 40 percent in 2006 while spearheading the very promising launch of Blueprint. After the publication of only two test issues, Media Industry Newsletter named Blueprint one of the hottest launches of the year in 2006 and honored Ms. Preston as one of three "Launch People of the Year." The third issue of Blueprint will appear in March, the first of six to be published in 2007.

Weddings Publisher Marcia Miller will take on the new role of SVP, Founding Publisher of Weddings, a National Magazine Award-winning publication she helped launch as a single special issue in 1991 and positioned as the first upscale bridal magazine in the United States; she will retain her strong client relationships and continue to represent Weddings in the marketplace. Weddings, which is now published quarterly, outsells all other bridal magazines on the newsstand by a wide margin.

Ms. Wilkins joins MSLO from Meredith Corp. where she has worked since 2005, serving as Publisher of Country Home magazine after having held that position at Better Homes and Gardens. Previously, she was the Publisher of Smithsonian magazine (1999-2005) and Biography magazine (1998-2000) and President of Petersen Companies' Youth Group (1996-1998). Prior to that, she spent seven years at Time Inc., working in jobs of increasing responsibility before becoming Publisher of Health magazine.

"It goes without saying that the Martha Stewart brand is incredibly strong and that MSLO has a great track record. I'm a longtime admirer of the company and am very excited to be part of the launch of Blueprint and to take Weddings to the next level," said Ms. Wilkins.

A graduate of College of the Holy Cross, Ms. Wilkins is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) was named one of Ad Age's "Women to Watch" in 1998. She lives in North Caldwell, New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
