Main Street Middletown, MD Inc Hosts New Event, Coloring the Street

MIDDLETOWN, Md., April 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Main Street Middletown, MD Inc. is hosting a new event, Coloring the Street, on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 from 9:30am to 4:00pm. The event will take place rain or shine in downtown Middletown, Maryland.

The idea behind the event is to experience Main Street in a relaxed, yet interactive way. The day will begin with free street yoga lead by Mountain Spirit Yoga at 9:30am. Artists, vendors, live music, and art activities will begin at 10am. There will be twelve featured artists, including noted local artist, Goodloe Bryon, creating art in the middle of the street for people to enjoy and admire. Visitors can even try their own hand in the Community Chalk Art contest. For the little ones, there is an Imagination Station with free art activities. For adults, wine and mead tastings will be held in the new Heritage Park, featuring Mazzaroth Vineyards and Orchid Cellar Meadery. Live music will filter through the air as visitors shop with our one-of-a-kind stores and vendors, watch live demonstrations by the Frederick Potters Guild, and take advantage of other art opportunities offered by the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, Goldfinch Studio, and the Valley Craft Network.
