Mack-Cali Leases 93,910 Square Feet at Jersey City Office Building

    CRANFORD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 2005--Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI) today announced that it has leased 93,910 square feet at Harborside Financial Center Plaza 5 on the Jersey City waterfront.

    The leases include:

-- IXIS North America, Inc., leased two full floors totaling 71,681 square feet. The firm will initially occupy 55,198 square feet for a 15-year term and the balance of the space five years after lease commencement. IXIS North America and its subsidiaries make up the U.S. capital markets arm of IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank, a member of the Groupe Caisse d'Epargne, headquartered in France. Michael Goldman of Studley represented the tenant.

-- HQ Global Workplaces, a provider of temporary office suites, leased 22,229 square feet for 10 years.

    Mack-Cali was represented in each transaction by Mark Ravesloot of CB Richard Ellis and Jane Greenblatt, in-house senior director of leasing and development. Harborside Financial Center Plaza 5, a 980,000 square-foot, class A office tower, is 87.0% leased.
