LinkedIn Corp. Q1 Earnings Rise 37%

(RTTNews) - LinkedIn Corp. (LNKD) released a profit for its first quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $99.47 million, or $0.74 per share. This was up from $72.54 million, or $0.57 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.60 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 35.0% to $860.65 million. This was up from $637.69 million last year.
