Lexmark International Inc. Q3 Income Climbs 40%

(RTTNews) - Lexmark International Inc. (LXK) released a profit for its third quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $49 million, or $0.72 per share. This was up from $35 million, or $0.57 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.59 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 2.5% to $846 million. This was down from $868 million last year.
