Lear Corporation Reports 17% Gain In Q1 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Lear Corporation (LEA) reported earnings for its first quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $300.1 million, or $4.27 per share. This was higher than $256.4 million, or $3.40 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $3.94 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.3% to $5.00 billion. This was up from $4.66 billion last year.
