LafargeHolcim Announces Reorganization of Global Functions
Regulatory News:
LafargeHolcim announces that it has launched a project to reshape its corporate structure. The planned reorganization reflects the end of the integration phase and the fact that the Group is now entering a new phase of its development. The proposed changes include the simplification of its corporate structure and the reshaping of the technical support organization to enable the Group’s operations to respond more quickly and efficiently to new market challenges. As a result of these changes, the Group will have a leaner corporate organization, reinforcing its focus on strategic, governance and transformation activities.
Overall, the plan would result in around 250 net job reductions in corporate functions by the end of 2017, of which around 130 would be in Holderbank (Switzerland), 80 in L’Isle d’Abeau (France), and the remainder in other global sites in the rest of the world.
These changes will be subject to the required consultation and regulatory processes in each country and LafargeHolcim has presented the proposed organization to employee representatives at sites affected by the plans. The Group will endeavor to minimize the impact of these measures for employees and plans to offer support measures at all sites.
The restructure will not affect employment at LafargeHolcim’s operational sites in the countries concerned or the R&D center in L’Isle d’Abeau, France.
