L Brands July Comps Up 3%, Lifts Q2 Earnings View

(RTTNews) - L Brands, Inc. (LB), the operator of Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works chains, Thursday announced three percent increase in July comparable store sales. Meanwhile net sales increased to $759.5 million from $735.3 million last year.

For the 13-week period comparable store sales increased four percent. Net sales for the period was up three percent to $2.765 billion, compared to $2.675 billion last year.

Looking ahead tot he second quarter, the company raised its guidance range to $0.66 to $0.68 from earlier guidance range of $0.60 to $0.65 per share. On average, 31 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expects $0.68 per share for the quarter.
