Kirby Corp Reports 34% Drop In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Kirby Corp (KEX) reported earnings for second quarter that lost ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line dropped to $25.78 million, or $0.48 per share. This was down from $38.94 million, or $0.72 per share, in last year's second quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.2% to $473.33 million. This was up from $441.58 million last year.
