Kerridge Computer Co. Sells Business to ADP Dealer Services
BRUSSELS, Belgium, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing Inc. today announced its purchase of the UK-based Kerridge Computer Co. Ltd. ADP will continue to fully support dealers on Kerridge's Autoline Dealer Management System (DMS) and maintain the Kerridge operations.
Founded in 1976, Kerridge is a privately owned company supporting large dealership groups with its Autoline DMS, as well as large distribution companies. Kerridge is considered one of the premier global DMS leaders, with 1,300 associates and nearly 6,000 client sites worldwide, including Western, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, South Africa, Asia and China.
"In acquiring Kerridge, ADP takes another big step forward in meeting the demands of dealer groups, importers, OEMs, and commercial distributors for global solutions and services. This acquisition also represents an opportunity to enter into the commercial distribution market place," said Peter Granson, head of ADP Dealer Services International. "Like ADP, Kerridge is a company committed to providing all customers with DMS solutions that are flexible enough to grow and evolve with their specific needs."
As a leading provider of integrated computing solutions to more than 19,500 auto, truck, motorcycle, marine and recreational vehicle dealers throughout the United States, Canada and Western Europe, ADP Dealer Services today offers a full range of Web-enabled dealer management solutions for every area of the dealership. With the addition of Kerridge, ADP Dealer Services will provide a wide range of solutions to more than 25,000 clients across 41 countries on four continents.
Both Kerridge and ADP are leaders in Application Service Provider (ASP) Managed Services and offer dealers the choice of onsite or hosted server platforms.
"Kerridge has worked very hard to provide its staff and customers with a global strategy. ADP is the best partner to bring that strategy to life," said Richard Bennett, president, chairman of Kerridge.
"ADP will enhance Autoline dealer satisfaction by offering new, integrated solutions to augment the current Autoline offerings. Dealers will be able to adopt and integrate these applications based on their business needs. They also will continue to receive the high levels of sales, service and application support that Autoline dealers currently enjoy today," said Steve Anenen, president of ADP Dealer Services. "Most importantly, ADP remains committed to helping dealers sell cars, parts and service profitably worldwide."
