KBR Secures $88 Mln Defense Contract To Provide Rapid Prototyping Capability

(RTTNews) - KBR, Inc. (KBR), Tuesday announced that the company has secured a task order contract worth $88 million from the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center.

Under the five-year contract, the company will promote rapid prototyping of new technologies into unmanned aviation platforms and systems. The contract also demands demonstration of these technologies in realistic environments. It will also mature designs into producible and sustainable products. The work will be at Naval Air Station Patuxent River.

During the pre-market hours, KBR's stock is trading at $59.06, up 0.78 percent on the New York Stock Exchange.
