Julie Howard Appointed Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Brand Development, BeautyBank
Ms. Howard will assume responsibility for all of BeautyBank'sglobal marketing efforts. Currently, the division includes AmericanBeauty, Flirt!, Good Skin(TM), Grassroots(TM) and Daisy Fuentes, allof which are sold exclusively in Kohl's Department Stores.Additionally, Ms. Howard will spearhead the creation of all new brandson a global basis. BeautyBank is an entrepreneurial think tank,dedicated to creating new global brand opportunities for The EsteeLauder Companies outside of traditional channels.
"Julie has an incredible track record at Clinique and is respectedthroughout the beauty industry for her marketing insight, businessacumen and brand building talent," said Ms. Hudis. "Her creativity andleadership will enable BeautyBank to accelerate its growth of theKohl's business and create new brands for the Company."
At Clinique, Ms. Howard was responsible for the development andglobal launch of new products in the treatment, makeup and fragrancecategories, as well as men's skin care. Among the many successfulintroductions she worked on are Repairwear Anti-Aging Makeup SPF 15,Perfectly Real Makeup, Colour Surge Impossibly Glossy, High ImpactMascara, Colour Surge Butter Shine Lipstick, Blushing Blush andClinique Happy.
Ms. Howard joined Clinique in 1996 as Executive Director,Fragrance Marketing, for North America, where she led the launch ofClinique Happy. She was promoted to Executive Director, Makeup andHair Care, for North America in 2001, then Vice President, GlobalMakeup Marketing, in 2002 before being named Vice President, GlobalProduct Marketing, in 2005. Earlier in her career, Ms. Howard wasDirector of Fragrance Development for Gryphon Development and servedas Marketing and Product Development Manager at Donna Karan BeautyCo., launching Donna Karan Fragrance and Skin Care. Prior to that, Ms.Howard was part of the strategic team that launched Eternity andEternity for Men at Calvin Klein Cosmetics.
