Jonathan Turpin joins the AIM Group as a Principal
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla., March 1, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Jonathan Turpin, a long-time CEO, COO and CFO at online and technology companies, has joined the AIM Group as a principal.
Turpin will work closely with Peter M. Zollman, Founding Principal; Katja Riefler, Managing Director; and Rob Paterson, Principal and Director of Consulting, to help the global information business grow and evolve. He'll take over much of the strategic and operational direction of the business from Zollman, who will focus more on client relations, consulting and speaking engagements.
"We've been in operation for 20 years and have grown from a group of three to a group of about 35 people worldwide," said Zollman. "That requires a different kind of leadership, especially because we've set very aggressive targets for growth during the next five years. Jonathan can provide exactly the leadership we need and want."
The AIM Group provides information services, conferences and consulting. Its business intelligence services include Classified Intelligence Report, often called "the bible of the classified advertising industry." It operates RecPlus, the premier international conference for recruitment marketplaces and technology companies, and AutosPlus, the world's only automotive conference focused specifically on digital sale and purchase of new and used vehicles. It also operates Global Online Marketplaces Summit in conjunction with VNG Group and Rising Media.
Turpin has worked at dot-com and software businesses for more than 20 years, and spent six years as CEO of Fish4, which he built into the leading online classified advertising brand in the U.K. in the early 2000s. He began his career as a consultant in the global media and entertainment practice of the Arthur D. Little management consulting company, and has worked for the BBC, AOL-Europe, Bauer Media Group, MoveMe.com and several other ventures.
"I've known the AIM Group since they reported on Fish4," Turpin said. "It has a terrific worldwide client base offering a great range of information and consulting services for the online marketplaces industry. We have a remarkable opportunity to grow and expand into new, exciting products. I'm looking forward to working with Peter, Katja, and Rob to build on the AIM Group's 20 years of success."
Turpin will operate from his home office in London. The AIM Group is based near Orlando, Fla., with EMEA headquarters in Munich, Germany.
