Johnson Pope Stays True To Its Commitment To Grow Its Tampa Presence Adding Real Estate Strength
TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In a strategic move in January of 2017, Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel & Burns, LLP added 10 attorneys in the practice areas of real estate, health care and tax and moved to a substantially larger space in the SunTrust Bank building. Now, one year later, Johnson Pope adds three attorneys: David Singer, Matt Newton and Tom Hunt, to join their land use and real estate and finance practice groups.

David Singer comes to Johnson Pope from his own private practice and has a multi-faceted, land use oriented practice with clients seeking to do business both in the private and public sectors and counsels clients on the proper strategies for successful interactions with city and county government agencies and officials.
David Singer earned degrees from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Political Science and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. His state bar admissions include both Illinois and Florida. David's recognitions include a ranking of AV Preeminent; The Best Lawyers in America guide, Land Use & Zoning Law, Rising Star, Florida Super Lawyers magazine, as well as Up and Comer, Tampa Bay Business Journal. In addition, David is a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association Tampa Bay, Past President, Seminole Heights Charter School Board, Tampa Bay Sports Commission and the Real Estate Committee of the CDC of Tampa.
Matt Newton also comes to Johnson Pope after practicing with David Singer for the past several years. He has guided clients through numerous complex land use and zoning challenges, structured creative legal strategies for both new and growing businesses, and has resolved a wide variety of legal disputes through both traditional litigation and alternative strategies. He holds a B.A. in Classical Studies from New College of Florida and a J.D. with honors from Stetson University College of Law.
Tom Hunt joins Johnson Pope from Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and represents business owners in connection with all aspects of the purchase, sale, development, leasing and financing of real property. Tom holds three degrees from the University of Florida which include a B.A., 2000; an M.A., 2002; and a J.D., 2005. In addition, Tom is a member of The Florida Bar, The Hillsborough County Bar Association, Leadership Tampa Bay, Class of 2014 and NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
