John Harrison Appointed General Counsel of Technip

Regulatory News: Technip (Paris:TEC) (ISIN:FR0000131708) appoints John Harrison to its Executive Committee as General Counsel. In this newly created function, John Harrison will as General Counsel be responsible in the Executive Committee for all group legal, corporate and compliance matters and will report to the Chairman and CEO of TECHNIP, Thierry Pilenko. Prior to his appointment and since 2003, John Harrison was General Counsel of the Defence and Security Division of EADS. "The appointment of John Harrison to the Executive Committee with responsibility for legal affairs is confirmation of the importance that we and the Board of Directors of Technip attach to excellence in legal and compliance matters in our global business activities", said Thierry Pilenko. John Harrison (40) brings extensive international experience to Technip having started his career in 1991 at the international law firm Clifford Chance, working consecutively in their London, New York and Paris offices. From 1998 onwards he held senior legal positions in Airbus and in the EADS Group. Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales since 1993, John Harrison completed his academic studies at the University of McGill, Montréal, Canada. He holds a Bachelors (LLB (Hons)) and Master (LLM) of Laws degree. With a workforce of 22,000 people, Technip ranks among the top five corporations in the field of oil, gas and petrochemical engineering, construction and services. The Group is headquartered in Paris. The Group’s main operating centers and business units are located in France, Italy, Germany, the UK, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, the USA, Brazil, Abu-Dhabi, China, India, Malaysia and Australia.
