Jack In The Box Q4 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Jack in the Box Inc. (JACK) reported net earnings for the fourth quarter of $16.2 million or $0.40 per share, compared to $22.8 million or $ 0.51 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Earnings from continuing operations for the fourth quarter were $17.4 million or $0.44 per share, compared to $24.1 million or $0.54 per share in the prior year quarter.

Excluding items, Operating earnings per share for the fourth quarter were $0.54, compared to $0.45 in the prior year quarter.

Revenue for the fourth quarter rose to $344.69 million from $337.98 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.53 per share on revenue of $342.28 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward, the company forecasts fiscal 2015 operating earnings per share to be in the range of $2.73 to $2.88. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $2.81 per share for the fiscal year 2015.
