The ranking, published by IMS Research, solidifies Itron as a preferred partner for utilities worldwide for metering and communication technologies. The IMS report, an annual assessment of global water meter sales, notes that Itron has the leading position globally for total water meter and communication module shipments. Itron is also ranked a top supplier across a number of smart water metering categories in Latin America, EMEA and North America.

The World Market for Water Meters—2013 Edition, authored by Nicole Tuggle, estimates Itron to hold a 10 percent share of demand for Total Water Meter unit shipments. Once again, Itron’s reliable water metering technology is shipped to more customers around the world than any other meter supplier.
