IPC The Hospitalist Company Q3 Profit Down

(RTTNews) - IPC The Hospitalist Company Inc. (IPCM) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $8.6 million or $0.49 per share, down from $9.1 million or $0.52 per share last year.

Net revenues for the quarter rose to $169.8 million from $149.1 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.60 per share on revenues of $178.19 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2014, the company now expects adjusted earnings of $2.23 to $2.29 per share and revenues of $692.0 million to $698.0 million.

Earlier, the company expected adjusted earnings of $2.41 to $2.51 per share and revenues of $$720.0 million to $732.0 million.

Analysts currently estimate earnings of $2.42 per share on revenues of $717.85 million for the year.
